Lockmeadow Entertainment Centre: Phase 1
All Case StudiesExternal refurbishment
Maidstone Borough Council wanted to improve and modernise the Lockmeadow Entertainment Centre to make it an attractive destination for residents and visitors and to give this iconic building a much needed face lift.
Working alongside Jones Hargreaves, we enhanced the visibility and appearance of the complex and linked it to the riverside nearby, helping the Client to create a place where people want to spend quality time. The improvements included over cladding of dated circular columns, new lighting and signage, redecorating of existing guttering and high level fascias, replacement of railings and removal of the cattle market structure and gated car park entrance.
Form were extremely professional and ran a safe and efficient site, the quality of the work is really high and they came in under budget too. I have no hesitation is recommending Form and hope to get the opportunity to work with them again in the future.

Added Value
Delivering the project during a global pandemic and working in close proximity to open public spaces required close attention to health and safety arrangements and a considered approach to site set up. We were pleased to receive an excellent score for our site operations following a Considerate Constructors visit.
Our team have maintained a professional and well organised site throughout the delivery, ensuring effective communication and partnership with all the stakeholders. By using contractors from the surrounding areas we have provided a source of local employment to the community and maintained a zero-to-landfill waste policy resulting in 100% of the waste from this project being recycled.
Having completed a facelift of the building, we were once again selected by the Council to deliver the second phase of refurbishment works at Lockmeadow. Find out the details in our Lockmeadow Phase 2 case study.
