Going above and beyond industry requirements
Did you know that Form carries the same accreditations and qualifications as companies one hundred times our size?
Our commitment to quality, environmental and occupational health and safety management goes above and beyond standard construction industry requirements. We believe it demonstrates our competence and credibility to our clients. But, more than that, it establishes a culture of continuous improvement, fostering a more proactive mindset across the business.
ISO accreditations, and more…
We are proud to be certified to UKAS ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards. These accreditations are key differentiators in UK construction and a testament to our commitment to effective risk management practices.
In addition to being UKAS ISO certified, we hold Constructionline Gold membership, CCS Performance Beyond Compliance, Acclaim, SMAS, CHAS and SafeContractor accreditations. We are also a registered member of Avetta.
Bridging a gap in the industry
Why are we so committed to gaining these vital industry accreditations? For a start, it confirms to our clients that we are a professional and credible business.
It also helps us to fill a gap in the market. Larger clients with smaller projects find they receive a more competitive advantage with Form than with the large national contractors. We offer the assurance of a large contractor with the flexibility and competitive pricing of a smaller business.
Maintaining our high standards
We invest a lot of time and effort in maintaining our accreditations and ensuring we meet the objectives set out by the internationally recognised ISO standards. Every year we undergo a rigorous assessment process where independent British Assessment Bureau’s expert auditors work with our team to ensure that we are meeting the requirements of our certifications.
The standards also include measures to pursue continuous improvement. An effective ISO procedure involves following a set of processes called the Plan Do Check Act (PDCA) cycle. This means that year on year, we continue to work more efficiently in almost every aspect of our business.
Maintaining ISO certifications is a commitment that requires buy-in and participation from every person at all levels of the business. Since becoming ISO accredited in 2017, we have passed all our annual audits with flying colours. This is a testament to our joint efforts to ensure consistent delivery of safe, sustainable and quality service.
Accurate reporting software
When it comes to compliance reporting, accuracy is essential.
That’s why we have recently introduced a new tool to support us in monitoring our site activities. Procore is construction management software that ensures that all regulations and specifications are met on site. The system’s integrated inspection tools enable us to create comprehensive checklists associated with different types of health and safety, quality and environmental inspections.
Eco-friendly improvements
We are particularly proud of our improvements to the long-term sustainability of our business.
For example, last year we achieved a 28% reduction in carbon emissions compared to the previous year. We have invested in additional zero CO2 emission vehicles, added new electric cars to our fleet and installed new EV chargers at our head office.
By closely monitoring our site activities from an environmental and sustainable perspective, we also achieved a 100% recycling rate on our projects.
In the words of our Quality Manager…
“We conduct a high level of internal and site-based auditing to ensure all processes are correctly followed, risks are mitigated, legislation is being complied with, and improvements are identified.
This audit process is also supported by the monitoring and measurement of core process against Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety objective targets and key performance indicators. This allows additional improvements to be identified.
Form is a firm believer in the approach that ‘if you don’t measure it, you can’t improve it’.” Russell Johnson, Quality Manager at Form.
