DfE were looking to maximise the use of existing space at Abacus Belsize Primary School in Kings Cross, London to accommodate growing numbers of pupils. In response to their requirements, we carried out internal school refurbishment, built additional classrooms and improved play areas to create an inspiring, comfortable and educational environment for both teachers and pupils.
Communication and response to any issues was pragmatic, quick and efficient – exactly what was needed. Thanks for completing such a great job and to a challenging programme.

Reshaped
For the first classroom, we reconfigured internal walls to adapt the existing space. We converted outdoor teaching space to build the second classroom, installed structural steelwork for mezzanine floor where the new playground is positioned, installed new roof coverings and waterproofing system. Smart space planning allowed us to create spacious, airy classrooms, harnessing a lot of natural light, with new vinyl tile flooring and bright walls complimenting vibrant decorations and colourful furniture.
