Hatchlands Primary School
All Case StudiesProject Goals
We were appointed by DfE on a school refurbishment project aiming to provide temporary accommodation for Hatchlands Primary School in Redhill. The main part of the works involved construction of a new entrance road. We were required to operate within a busy road and move the bus stop, therefore smart programming and risk control were key to minimise disruption to the public and to the bus services.
The team really did go over and above to get the project completed in very difficult circumstances, including restricted access for both site operatives and deliveries. I think that with a different contractor or site team, the project would not have been delivered within the timescale or to the quality that was achieved.

Added Value
In addition to the access road works, we also created new external play areas for the School. Internally, our team reconfigured the existing space to create new classrooms, a teapoint, washrooms and storage facilities. We provided new FF&E, ICT and carried out all the necessary M&E alterations, creating a comfortable working environment for both children and teachers.
